What it does

Chatbase turns your existing content — website pages, help docs, uploaded files — into a support agent you can embed as a chat widget or call through an API. Agents can take actions and hand off to humans when they hit their limits.

Billing is credit-based: one reply costs 1 to 6 message credits depending on the model you choose. The free plan includes 50 credits/mo and one agent; Hobby starts at $40/mo (about $32/mo annual), with Standard and Pro tiers above.

Watch the add-ons: extra agents and white-labeling (removing the 'Powered by Chatbase' badge) are billed separately, and agents stop responding when credits run out unless auto-recharge is on.
