How AXIS Launch works
A discovery and acquisition platform for AI-generated applications, run editorially rather than by vote count.
What this is
AXIS Launch is a discovery and acquisition platform for AI-generated applications. Makers list their apps here to get found. Operators come here to find tools for a specific task. Acquirers come here to find verified AI SaaS worth diligencing.
The directory is editorial and newsletter-driven, not upvote-driven. We chose that on purpose. Real-time voting cannot be run honestly at this scale — vote rings, bot traffic, and account-age gaming are the reason even the largest launch platforms have had to bolt on decay curves and first-hour multipliers just to keep their leaderboards fair. We didn't want to build that arms race, so we didn't build a leaderboard at all.
Instead, inclusion is the merit mechanic. A listing goes into the directory because a human reviewed it and decided it belongs. That is a smaller claim than "this app has 400 upvotes," and it is a more honest one.
The loop
Every app on AXIS Launch moves through the same four steps, at whatever pace fits the maker:
- List your app
- Connect PAID (free)
- Build verified track record
- Auction-ready
We list fewer than half of submissions
We list fewer than half of submissions. That is not a growth constraint we tolerate — it is the point.
A directory that accepts everything tells an operator nothing when they land on a listing. A directory that says no to most submissions tells them the apps that remain were looked at by a person and judged worth their time. Curation is what makes the badge, the category placement, and eventually the auction listing mean something to the people reading them.
Who this serves
Makers get a permanent listing, a dofollow badge, and a free path toward M&A readiness — connecting PAID starts building the verifiable revenue history buyers actually trust.
Operators get curated AI apps organized by the task they are hiring them for, not by launch date or vote count.
Acquirers get verified AI SaaS with a clean payment history, kept anonymized until they are qualified to see more.
Why the process is manual
Listings are reviewed by a person before they go live. Auction updates — bid confirmations, status changes, close-outs — are admin-mediated, not automated in real time. That is a deliberate trade of speed for trust: a human checking the work is exactly what keeps a curated directory curated and an auction result something a buyer can rely on. We would rather be slower and right than instant and gameable.
